Intro to NVivo (for Windows and Mac)

Wednesday, April 10, 2024, 3:30pm - 4:30pm
Lamont Library
Harvard ID required, Workshop,
Registration has closed.

We will explore Nvivo qualitative data analysis software using a variety of primary source materials including: interviews, focus groups, images, videos, surveys, and social media platforms. NVivo provides easy ways to code, analyze and visualize qualitative data. NVivo on the Windows operating system has somewhat different functionality than the version for the Mac, and we will address some of these differences.

We will be working on computers with the software installed, however please feel free to bring your laptop as well. Note: the software is available for download for students and faculty in Faculty of Arts and Sciences (FAS) only. Faculty, students, staff, and researchers from other Harvard schools may download a 14-day trial here. It will occur on campus in Cambridge (building and room details to follow).

This 1-hour workshop will take place on campus in Cambridge (Lamont Library; Room 310).

Registered attendees will receive a reminder via email 1 day prior to the workshop. Registration closes 1 day prior to the event.*
*In case there is still space available after registration has closed, you may email rcrawford@fas.harvard.edu to indicate your interest. Be sure to put “LATE REGISTRATION” in the subject line. If there is space available, you will receive the room location.
