An invitation to develop a “research mindset” that focuses on your capacity for growth through deliberate practice, openness to coaching, and patience with and kindness to yourself on your journey to becoming an expert.
Instructors:
Dorothy Bisbee, Graduate Coach at the Academic Resource Center will lead hands-on activities that help you develop strategies for getting yourself unstuck and maintaining your balance.
Nyssa Wittliff Boardman, Psychologist with Harvard’s Counseling and Mental Health Services, will describe the role that counseling plays in graduate students’ lives, with advice on when and how to seek a therapist.
This workshop is part of our Prologue to Unabridged. “Prologue to Unabridged” and “Epilogue to Unabridged” workshops are intended for graduate students, with topics specifically designed to complement Unabridged’s January program.
