How do I know what’s good? (Harvard Library Research Fundamentals Series)

Thursday, October 15, 2020, 4:00pm - 5:00pm
Harvard ID required, Workshop,
Registration has closed.

Searching for information for a research project will usually get you way more material than you could ever use. How do you make smart decisions about sources when you’ve got so much choice? Harvard Librarians have some answers for you!

In this 1-hour workshop, you’ll learn what to look for – and what to look out for, so you can avoid The Title Trap. We’ll demystify the concept of “peer review” and talk about why it matters. We’ll also show you how some small adjustments to the ways you search can do a lot of source “sifting” for you up front.

This workshop is specially designed for first year students, sophomores who want a refresher, and Extension School students who are new to research, but all are welcome!

Workshop will take place via Zoom: register for the event to receive a reminder email one hour before the event with the Zoom info.
