"Do It Yourself!" Workshop #2: Zine-Making with Zoe Pulley
As part of Houghton’s spring exhibition “Do It Yourself! Self-Publishing from Letterpress to LaserJet,” join local artists, zine-makers, and designers in a series of hands-on workshops. Workshops are free and open to the public, and all materials will be provided. Space is limited and registration is required.
Workshop 2: Come make a collaborative zine with Zoë Pulley, exhibition designer for "Do It Yourself!" Using found images, various odds and ends, and a bowl full of words, we will create an improvisational story that will be compiled into a publication and mailed to participants.
About the workshop leader: Zoë Pulley is a Presidential Fellow pursuing an MFA in Graphic Design at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence, RI. Motivated to preserve generational narratives of Black experiences through print, textiles and other media, Pulley pursues ongoing projects including the jewelry line GRAN SANS and the collaborative open-call project called Black Joy Archive.
