URC Lunch & Learn: Re-Architecting Library.unc.edu

Description:

In early 2020, UNC's University Libraries began a project to rebuild and streamline their web presence. The goal of the project was to unify multiple websites into a new "One Library" single site for the Libraries. Early content inventory and user research work led the Libraries' UX team to question the foundation of the old sites' Information Architecture.

The new site, set to launch in December 2023, will include more than ten different content types. A simple webpage will no longer be the default assumption for content. This talk will include an overview of the new Information Architecture, discussion of how it was built, and results from related user research.

Note: This event will not be recorded.
