Planning to use GIS in your research? Not sure how to manage your GIS data so it is easy to find, organize, cite, or reproduce? This workshop will cover best practices in proactive GIS data management. We will cover:

  • Creating basic datasets
  • Storing and versioning data with Github
  • Tips on proactive note-taking systems for long-term reproducibility

No experience or prerequisites necessary.

Workshop sessions are limited to 8 participants per session, to guarantee hands-on help and troubleshooting. If you register and don’t think you can make it, please email belle_lipton@harvard.edu to make your seat available for someone else.
