Sign Up for a Public Library Card!

Join the Boston Public Library to sign up for your public library card right on the Harvard Kennedy School campus! We'll be inside the main Wexner entrance, through the courtyard off of Eliot Street.
After you get your card, stick around to make a button, get candy and swag, and write a letter of appreciation to your favorite public library (here or wherever is home for you). The HKS Library will pay for postage.
As a Massachusetts resident (even a temporary one), you can sign up for library card. A card will get you free access to books, audiobooks, e-books, databases, museum passes, and more. Any Massachusetts resident can get a library card - you don't have to be a Boston resident.
To sign up for your library card, make sure to bring:
- Photo ID.
- Proof of Massachusetts residency, like a piece of official mail. (A driver's license is not sufficient to show residency.)
September is National Library Card Signup Month. During the month, public libraries across the U.S. mark the beginning of the school year with a campaign to ensure everyone has a library card and can take full advantage of the many resources and services public libraries have to offer.
Can't make it to this event? You can join us again on September 18 and on September 26. You can also sign up for an eCard or write a letter to your favorite public library anytime.
