The next meeting of the Scholarly Communication Discussion Group will take place over two days and feature a presentation from editors of the Harvard Data Science Review as well as a separate, focused discussion on journals & innovative publishing models for data science and digital scholarship. This will be a fantastic opportunity to engage with the editors of Harvard Data Science Review (HDSR) and explore innovative approaches to scholarly publishing that go beyond traditional formats.

Day 1: Presentation by Editors from Harvard Data Science Review

Day 2: Discussion Among Library Colleagues

On Day 2, we’ll hold a one-hour discussion to reflect on the HDSR presentation and engage in a broader conversation about the role libraries can play in supporting alternative publishing models. The focus will be on how libraries can better serve digital, dynamic, and multifaceted research outputs, and how we can support the evolving scholarly communication landscape. Participants from scholarly communication, data services, and digital scholarship units are encouraged to attend and contribute to this important conversation.
