This hands-on workshop offers students a supportive space for practicing with an AI chat interface to explore a research topic and spark your thinking. You’ll test out ways to narrow your focus, identify different angles on your topic, and generate search suggestions. We’ll consider the strengths and limitations of AI as a research partner, so that you can focus on approaches that advance your learning.

Come prepared to introduce yourself to the group, to share what kinds of AI policies you're seeing in your fall courses, and with a couple ideas for a research topic or question you're genuinely interested in.
