Looking to discover the most influential authors, journals, or trends in your research field? Join us for an interactive workshop on Bibliometrix, an open-source R package for bibliometric analysis. You’ll learn how to import data from major databases (Web of Science, PubMed, OpenAlex, etc.), conduct a variety of analyses, and visualize co-occurrence or co-citation networks. By the end of the session, you’ll have a stronger grasp of how to leverage bibliometric methods to inform your literature reviews, track scholarly impact, and identify emerging topics in your discipline.

In this workshop, we will cover:

Why Bibliometrics Matter: An introduction to key concepts and their importance in scholarly research.

Installing and Setting Up: Getting R, RStudio, and the Bibliometrix package working seamlessly on your computer.

Data Import & Deduplication: How to import and clean bibliographic data from various sources.

Advanced Topics: Thematic maps, historical citation networks, author dominance, and more.

This workshop is open to researchers, faculty, librarians, and students across all disciplines who want to gain insights from bibliometric data. No prior R experience is required, but basic familiarity with R will be helpful.
