Instruction Room (Room #LL03)
Harvard ID required, Event,
Registration has closed.

What once required hours in the stacks or days in databases can now be accelerated by artificial intelligence, but not without new questions of rigor and responsibility. This workshop explores the role of AI in academic discovery, with an emphasis on research in the sciences.

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the capabilities and limitations of AI search and synthesis tools

  • Compare traditional and AI-assisted approaches to discovery

  • Design context-aware prompts that yield accurate, relevant results

  • Evaluate ethical considerations such as bias, accuracy, and citation integrity

Whether you are just beginning to explore these tools or already experimenting, you will leave with strategies to integrate AI thoughtfully into your research workflows.
