Research Management: Finalize, Submit, and Transfer Your Data (Online)
What: Learn about the knowledge‑transfer process and what to document during employee offboarding. We’ll explore how individuals collect, organize, access, store, and share project data to support reuse and ensure smooth continuation of project work.
Why: When employees leave, their skills and institutional knowledge go with them. Capturing what they know and the research outputs they’ve produced is essential for future continuity and success.
How: This is a free 1.5-hour online workshop, consisting of lecture, interactive poll questions, and discussion. We will introduce the RDM Knowledge Transfer File tailored for Harvard researchers and how to document essential information related to projects and datasets prior to leaving the lab or institution. The webinar recording will be shared with all who register.
Where: Online via Zoom (link provided upon registration).
Who: This seminar is open to faculty, research staff, postdoctoral researchers, and students from all disciplines. There are no prerequisites or assumptions of knowledge. Online webinars are open to the public research community.
