Biomedical and Public Health Research Data Management: Concepts, Tools, and Strategies (In-Person)

What: Learn recommended practices for managing research data including backup procedures, tips on effective file names, data documentation, and data sharing strategies.

Why: Research Data Management (RDM) is essential for responsible research, can increase the pace of research, contribute to the transparency of research results, and meet funding agency requirements.

How: This is a free 1 hour hands-on workshop. This course does not focus on creating or using any particular data collection or analysis tool, but discusses data management at a general level, and provides resources to help you apply management practices efficiently.

Where: Countway Library, Classroom L1-028. [Also offered online and in-person at Cabot Library.]

Who: This seminar is open to all Harvard affiliates from all disciplines. If you do not have a HUID but would like to join us in person, please email Julie Goldman.
