Peer Review for Beginners: First Year Fridays in Lamont IV
PEER REVIEW FOR BEGINNERS
Lamont Library, Room B30 || 3:00-4:00 p.m.
When instructors say your sources have to be “scholarly” or “academic,” what does that mean? Why does it matter? And how can you be sure you recognize peer review when you see it?
In this 1-hour workshop, designed specifically for first year students, Research Librarian Odile Harter will answer those questions. You'll leave confident in your ability to determine whether a source is peer-reviewed, scholarly, semi-scholarly and ---most importantly--- appropriate for your academic work.
