Join us for a Screen Reader Demo presented by DeAnn Elliott, Accessibility Testing Coordinator, Digital Strategies & Innovation, Harvard Library.

Details:

Screen readers are software programs that allow blind or visually impaired users to read the text that is displayed on the computer screen with a speech synthesizer. When developing software, screen readers are used to verify what the site impaired person is experiencing. Are we catching everything?

Join us for this screen reader demo with DeAnn Elliott. DeAnn is one of the accessibility experts available through the User Research Center. She is legally blind. DeAnn will take us through the Commons Spaces website sharing how she experiences it and what to watch while testing. DeAnn will also demonstrate how she uses VoiceOver to control her iPhone.

The presentation will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM in Lamont Library Room B-30. Please feel free to bring your lunch.
