Join us for On to the Next Iteration: The Case of the HUIT Flagship Website Redesign presented by Neal Adolph Akatsuka, Communications Offer, HUIT, HPAC.

A website redesign offers the exciting opportunity to dedicate resources—chief among them, your time and attention—to reevaluating the needs and goals of users and stakeholders, and to envisioning the future of the user experience of a brand and its resources. However, a redesign can also entail the inheritance of an ongoing project with its own vision, timeline, and budgeted set of priorities. By reflecting on the case of the redesign of the HUIT Flagship website, I share my process and experience grappling with past documentation (often with little to no context), filling in gaps in user research and design (just enough), and moving the project forward to its alpha launch (a humble beginning). Key takeaways include the importance of strategic collaboration with key stakeholders and experts, utilization of resources in all shapes and forms, and openness to experimentation and failure.

The presentation will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM on Zoom. Zoom meeting information will be sent via email once you register.
