Lamont and Widener Tour for First Years and Sophomores
Designed especially for first years and sophomores who are new – or newish -- to campus, this librarian-led tour will begin in Lamont Library and end in Widener.
Lamont is more than just study space, though we’ll show all the options you have for collaborative, quiet, or individual study. You’ll get to hear a little bit about of the interesting history of the nation’s first undergraduate library and learn about special spaces, like the Farnsworth Room.
Then we’ll head to Widener Library, into the bookstacks, and through the tunnel to the underground Pusey stacks. We’ll finish in the Memorial Rotunda, where we’ll glimpse at Harry Widener’s collection.
Tour will begin in Lamont Library, meet in the main lobby.
