Get Your Library Fix @ the ARC's Accountability Hour (Wednesdays at 3 p.m. this Fall)

Wednesday, November 9, 2022, 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Harvard ID required, Event,

Are you a little overwhelmed navigating HOLLIS, library databases, and Google Scholar? Could you use advice from an expert to help you get your bearings, figure out where to turn, and understand when and why to use particular research strategies? The Library is offering office hours during the ARC’s Accountability Hour on Wednesdays for students who’d like to update their research toolbox. You can meet with a librarian to:

  • Explore potential research topics.
  • Learn strategies to refine your topic.
  • Locate primary sources, like diaries, maps, and newspaper articles.
  • Select the most useful sources.
  • Track the latest ideas and debates in your academic field.
  • Quickly and efficiently organize your PDFs and format your citations.
  • Develop and finesse your multimedia authoring skills.
  • Get started on a digital scholarship project.
  • And more!

The Library Fix is informal, giving you an opportunity to be listened to, take stock of your progress no matter what stage you’re in, and get concrete advice for next steps. We’re delighted to work with you!

Location: Academic Resource Center, 1414 Mass Ave 3R room 389 (Bank of America building, across from Harvard Square T stop) and ZOOM (link provided by the ARC after registration).

Register now with the ARC scheduler. Please specify that you are interested in library support.
