Recital and Gallery Talk: Sweet Sounds from Rulan Chao Pian

The Eda Kuhn Loeb Music Library invites you to a Chinese music recital and gallery talk marking the close of “Sweet Sounds from Rulan Chao Pian,” a bilingual exhibition honoring the life, work and donations of professor, scholar, and ethnomusicologist Rulan Chao Pian, Ph.D. ’60. The exhibition opened in April on the centenary of her birth.

The recital will take place on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at 2pm in the Spalding Room of the Eda Kuhn Loeb Music Library, and will feature pipa, erhu, guqin, xiao and guzheng. A gallery talk will follow around 3:30pm.
